“A sweet invitation from a fairy”
Kotobukiya continues its great partnership with world famous illustrator Tony Taka with the latest addition to the Tony’s Heroine Collection, Annabel –fairy of ajisai–. The illustration for this version of Annabel first appeared in the catalog for the second “Tony’s Heroine Exhibition” that took place at the Kotobukiya Akihabara store in 2015. The illustration was then touched up and perfected for the 90th Comiket in the following year. Like the original Fairy Garden Annabel, Annabel ‐fairy of ajisai‐‘s illustration was rendered beautifully into figure form by Yuzo.
Annabel’s coquettish posing shows off the alluring curves of her body, while her impish expression shows off her mischievous side. From the details in her hair and wings to her sexy sheer outfit, all of the appeal from the original illustration is fully brought to life in this figure that will leave you wondering where to look. The fairy’s hair, clothing, and wings have are made of translucent plastic, giving the figure a soft and diaphanous appearance. The log inspired base was designed to complement the base for the previously release Daisy –fairy of hinagiku‐, and gives the figure a unique sense of height while also evoking the atmosphere of the original illustration, the pose and flow of Annabel’s hair give the figure a unique appearance in comparison to the first version. Kotobukiya’s team worked in collaboration with Tony in order to assure that the details of the illustration were brought out in their best light in the figure, and at the same scale as the previous Tony’s Heroine releases, this figure is perfect for displaying alongside her fairy sisters to create a paradise of your own.
